We are all stuck inside these days, with no movies to go to, no restaurants or bars opened, however, that doesn’t mean that you and BAE can’t have date night. Read on for some quarantine date night ideas!
1.Movie Night

you see your
Movie Platter from
Cured Catering
Why not bring the movies to you? With Netflix, Amazon Prime etc at our finger tips, watching movies has never been so easy. A lot of movies that were set to be released this year have also been released to watch on tv. If you want to make your movie night feel more legit, why not order the Movie Tray from Cured Catering, it comes with popcorn and lots of other goodies. It’s sure to make you feel like you are really at the movies!
2. Quiz Night
Why not grab yourself some beers and have a good old fashioned pub quiz. You and BAE can form a team and see how you do! Jay Flynn does a live pub quiz every Thursday and Saturday night. You can follow him on instagram – @thevirtualpubquiz or head to Youtube to check it out. He is based in the U.K so keep that mind for the quiz times!
Hemmingway’s in Toronto is doing virtual trivia. A ticket for a single player is $5, an a family ticket is $10.
Irish friends, Todayfm are doing a weekly Know It All Ireland Quiz. It looks like fun, check it out!
Another one for my Irish friends, the Lock Inn are doing online Irish quizzes, testing you on all things Irish. They have qualifiers for all the time zones, and then they will be holding one big final in a few weeks. I entered the North American qualifier last week and it was great craic. Check out their site for the calendar of upcoming quizzes and other fun virtual events.
Why not order some local beers for your quiz/trivia night? Here are some local breweries offering free deliveries in Toronto:
Granite Brewery are offering beer to go along with take out food, you can order for pick-up or delivery.
3. Cocktail Night
Why not learn how to make some new cocktails with BAE during quarantine life?! You can then wow your guests next time you throw a party (whenever we are permitted to do that).
Half baked Harvest has some amazing cocktail recipes. I just tried one myself at the weekend and it was delicious! She releases a new one every Saturday so check out her website for inspiration!
I also have the details for a Quarantini Sunrise cocktail and an Irish Dalgona Espresso Martini on my instagram. Get the recipes here.
And, if you need some cocktail ingredients, delivered, no problem, some of the places below might be able to help:
Reid’s Distillery – They do gin, and they do it well. Like a lot of local distilleries, they are also now producing hand sanitizer which is amazing!
Dillon’s Distilling – you might want to use their vermouoth or amaro in your cocktail creations. Dillon’s are also making hand sanitizer!
Also check out Bare Bones Bartending as they usually have a feature cocktail on their website, why not give that a go?

Aloette offers some great gourmet dinner options and you can order through Uber Eats or DoorDash. You can even order wine from them too!

The restaurant industry accross Canada is trying to encourage Canadians to make takeout Wednesday a thing while this pandemic lasts. It’s a great way to show your support to local restaurants. Check out this very comprehensive list from Toronto.com to see where you can order takeout from.
When you’ve ordered your dinner, why not tune into one of these live shows or concerts:
June 6: Lady Gaga, BTS and Barack Obama are set to give a commencement speech during YouTube’s “Dear Class of 2020” virtual commencement. The event will also feature appearances by Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, and more. The schedule will be announced May 17; the event can be streamed on YouTube.
