Review of Ramada Jackson’s Point

I recently spent another night in the Georgina area again, this time, at the Ramada. Please read on for my full review.

If you have looked up the Ramada at Jackson’s Point, you will undoubtedly see numerous fabulous pictures looking out across the lake, with the cutest lighthouse in the background. That is the fabulous view you have while at the Ramada at Jackson’s Point. Our room has a really stunning view of the lake and the lighthouse – so beautiful that I even got out of bed to watch the sunrise (ask anyone who knows me, I am NEVER up for sunrise!).

Views aside, their great location right on the lake also means you have easy access to some lake activities including swimming, but they also rent out row boats, paddle boards, floaties and more. So if you are there while the weather is warm, take advantage of that!

While we were there, we ate at the Lakeview Restaurant and Bar. I had the butter chicken and Phil had a stir fry and the food was really tasty. We also had dessert – obviously – cheesecake and chocolate cake. The cheesecake was nice but the chocolate cake was really decadent and delicious! If you love seafood, they do a great seafood promotion on lobster so you might want to check that out!

We ate breakfast there the next morning and I will say that it felt like they weren’t ready for breakfast guests, even though breakfast started at 8am and we were there at 8.30am. There seemed to be a bit of confusion, and there was no orange juice available. I ordered the eggs benny and it was tasty and Phil had the bacon, eggs and sausage which he also enjoyed.

The hotel also has an indoor pool and hot tub and a spa – GLO Spa. I didn’t book any treatments at the spa so I can’t give any reviews of it. It’s also worth noting that the hotel is pet friendly, so don’t worry about leaving your furry friends at home!

In regards to the room, we were in a King room, and as I mentioned, we had a great view of the lake from right outside our door. I would say the hotel has a bit of a motel feel to it the way the rooms are set up. In my opinion, the room was basic, but clean. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows! Staff were very helpful. We had a few drinks in the bar that afternoon before dinner and our server was really nice and friendly.

Overall, I would say the Ramada at Jackson’s Point is a good pick if you are looking for a cheaper option that Briars, but still want to be right on the lake! You can check out their website here and don’t forget to enter my contest on Instagram to be in with a chance of winning a free night there! Winner will be picked tomorrow (September 23rd).
