I’m so excited to do this review. I started hearing about the company Blume a few months ago. Blume is a small company run by two sister, who first set this company up as a way to normalize periods. Blume was created to de-stigmatize periods and in doing so, create a generation of confident women who aren’t embarrassed y their bodies, or their periods.
All of their products are safe, sustainable and organic. They believe in products that are good for you and for the environment. Their products include tampons, pads, deodorant, fash was and then the product I’m reviewing today – Meltdown, which is a blemish treatment.
I have really sensitive skin and am prone to breakouts, especially during my period. I suffered from acne as a teenager, and even now in my thirties, I sometimes feel like my skin is still acting like im 14. I am always on the lookout for good skin care products. I have set moisturizer that I don’t really stray from, but I like to try different cleansers and face washes, so I was very interested when I heard about this amazing blemish treatment.
I did my research first, I had heard about Meltdown online a lot, so I went online to read about Blume, and to read the reviews on the product. They all seemed to be excellent so I said, fuck it, I’ll give it a go! I’m getting married in June and want my skin to be in the best condition ever, so I’m willing to try any new products that promise to get rid of spots overnight!
I placed my order ($49CAD in total which included approximately $10 shipping fee) and then I eagerly awaited the arrival of my product. Now, I will say, because it’s such a small company, and I ordered during a busy time, it did take a while to receive my order – about a month. So don’t make an order expecting a next day delivery! However, I have to say – it was well worth the wait!
I am loving this product. It’s simply magical,that’s the only way I can describe it. It’s a
tiny bottle with a dropper, and you literally use one drop at a time, so I already know it’s going to last for a long time. I’ve been using it at night, and sometimes in the morning. At night, I place it on any spots I have, or any areas of my skin that are red or irritated, or if I feel like a spot is about to come up and I have to say, I’m amazed at the results. I’ve put it on some spots at night, to wake up the next morning and the spots are completely gone. With some more stubborn, bigger spots, it takes a couple of days, but you can see it working so fast. In the mornings if I use it, I mix a drop in with my moisturizer.
My skin is feeling great and looking great. My skin hasn’t been great over the past couple of months, so I always wear a BB cream, as I’ve felt my skin hasn’t been in good enough condition to go makeup-less. However, this week, after only 1 week of using Meltdown, I didn’t wear any foundation or BB cream at all and my skin felt great! I’m planning to try their face wash – Daydreamer next.
